    The Toxicity of Hip-Hop

I've witnessed a lot of crazy shit in the industry. From local to international levels, I've had personal conflicts with some rappers who've you've probably heard of. Met a lot of surprisingly humble people, too - its just that the egotistic maniacs that tend to ruin music for a LOT of people.

    - Rappers aren't supportive to each other. Everybody acts WAY tougher than they actually are and think they have to be better than everyone else. Maybe it's different where you're from, but where I'm at, all the local guys think they're king shit of turd island and don't even bother to support the community. Never leave or tour anywhere else but their local bar, and wonder why they never blow up. Then they take it out on the guys that ARE getting off their asses and doing something with their lives.

    - Hip-Hop has a terrible reputation. Violent and derogatory is two frequent words that come up when mentioning rap and hip-hop. The more violence that is escalated, the less that people forget rap is about the WORDS. There is some amazing music out there that IS hip-hop that does not promote violence/drugs/women/etc. Maybe you enjoy that kind of music as an escape, and that's fine! The problem is when kids start shooting each other up because they think its cool too. Start stealing medicine to make lean. Stealing for drugs, etc. You have all heard it/seen it/been a part of it before.

    - PAY TO PLAY EVENTS. My fuck, is this a HUGE one. For some of those that may perform on stage, I'm sure you have come across "Play at this showcase, come get judged by so and so, HUGE opportunity..." TONS of those events are put on by scam promoters who are trying to earn money off of the hungry artists. In Canada, I've called out a few of them and they don't like me anymore lol. YOUR TIME IS WORTH SOMETHING - NEVER pay to play at a showcase unless you know its certified legit (spoiler alert: a small percentage of them are). And a HUGE fuck you to the promoters praying on young, hard working artists that are trying to share their work, only to get pickpocketed.

Its worth noting that I AM from Canada, a place that doesn't give a shit about hip hop lol. Rap makes up 4% of what Canadians listen to, leaving about 1.5 million across the country that take an interest in it. From who I've talked to in the States, people come to hip hop shows a lot more frequently. This makes sense considering 21% of the music consumed in the United States IS hip-hop. It's the most popular genre in the country, making up about 69 million listeners of hip hop in total.

So, now you see why Canadian acts like Drake, Mad Child, Snak the Ripper, Merkules, Classified, Choclair, and more, go international. I've worked with a few of them - I won't get into my beefs because they apologized to me, but I WILL sat that Snak the Ripper and Classified are the favourite on this particular list.

I'm curious to learn about where you guys are at too.

    Discuss.

The toxicity is one reason why EDM is going to replace Rap as the dominant musical genre.

Another problem - dudes trying to be funny/cool because they're not good at anything else. So they have to sit on a rap forum making fun of people because they literally have nothing better to do with their shitty existence. I feel bad for you.

You're not wrong. EDM has a GREAT culture - very inviting, welcoming, and a lot of people have a blast at their events. It will never be my kind of music, but I can't help but admire the culture and be jealous of it.

Meanwhile, all these moody rappers thinking they're too cool for everyone else thinking that THAT will make them the next gangsta/Eminem/whatever the fuck they wish they were.

Useless energy? Says the person making fake accounts to troll people on a dead rap forum.

Right lol. You probably cruise around forums making up different names just because you have THAT shitty of a real life. You have no friends to ACTUALLY chill with - so you take your sad boy energy out on trying to make yourself look cool to literally the small handful of people who interact with this forum.

If you had ANYTHING to offer the real world, you would be doing THAT. I suggest you find a better way to use your time - life is short. Nobody is going to remember you for being a loser on a rap website.

You only tell yourself those things because its easier than coping with the realization that you're such a failure, that you have to pretend to be good at trolling and come with the lamest insults the internet has seen since 1999.

It's not too late sweetheart - you can still turn your life around and not be a complete fucking waste of skin

Well isn't this an oxymoron... you're fighting... that's the problem I've seen with artists from my area, they preaching one thing but living another. How you gonna come up on here talking about animosity in the culture of fighting, then fight? What's everybody always so angry about any way?

    Women and children!

Attention is something that female minds crave. They just can't do without it and as such it has created the free porn industry which benefits men.

Men (like me, unlike you) base our success in life upon what we build and create that has value.

How much do you charge for your onlyfans? $1.99?
ooooh I got you SO mad your're bolding you're font now? You call ME feminine but come in here ragging like a Karen in menopause.

You sound like a right wing redneck loser who is mad at the world that Trump lost. GET OVER IT - you are a loser and always has been. The amount if insecurity you show is SO OBVIOUS I am laughing my ass off haha.

You're probably the type of dude to go around to dude's Youtube's and dislike them from spite.

And honestly dude - I know females who have more security with themselves than you do lol. You sure talk about guys balls so much - please project your fantasies on us more and show us how much of a little bitch you want to be for everybody else.

I fight when I have to. It don't matter who comes with this kind of energy - I call it out every time. Most people have a problem with what I'm saying, but the truth is, somebody only comes in and rains on a parade whenever they need to feel better about their own pathetic lives.

    Like Dad Dude.

So if the lounge, which is captioned with 'discuss anything here', where we the accused hang out, is NOT for discussing anything, what the fuck would you want discussed here then?

    Nothing?
