first ur gonna wanna make a bed to put inside w/e kinda structure/starting cabin u build, so when u die u'll respawn there
obv u gotta eat n hunt small shit like fish n dodo birds to keep urself alive, submerge in water to drink from it (later on u can make a thing to hold water on u but it slowly leaks out)
ur also gonna wanna make decent clothes so u can stay warm, there's certain areas u'll freeze to death, an being too hot can fuck w/ ur thirst, health, etc
stick to the beach until u got at least a closed off area w/ a respawn bed
also when u DO leave the beach, try to keep track of where u go (almost impossible without making the compass) so u can go pick up ur lost shit if u die
an yooo, when ur ready tame something easy like a parasaur. try to trap one between some big rocks or trees by chasing it, then knock it out w/ whatev, feed it, etc..
u'll get the hang of it, the possibility are endless tho I'm still overwhelmed and literally could only help u w/ starting out. I still got so much shit to do/discover, including breeding. shit's wild af
