What are some good used cars? Looking for something that's good on gas.. won't need too much maintenance..and if it's been maintained and not beaten by teens, wont need to much work in the near future.
Also, this car is for my gf..So a big car like a ex police crown vic won't do lol. Obviously girly cars can be mentioned (ie, Beetles, Focus') etc lol

Yea Civic's were/are near the top of my list. Seems like every civic around here though is either in POS condition, or 16 yr olds have tried to make it a drag racing car aka WILL be a pos car within another couple hundred miles lol
Maybe there's a couple out there that a little old lady has been driving and wants to sell that I can find lol

2-4yrs old is ideal for anymore used, you won't have to worry about replacing parts for a few years, anything older with 60k+ miles might look like a good deal but 6mos later your dishin out hundreds on simple shit like alternators, water pumps and starters.

Best thing to do is look for cars to take over payments on.
Usually they are new and still under warranty.
If the person is asking for payments to be taken over it usually
results in them having excellent credit so you won't be paying
too much interest and skip the fat ass down payment on it.
You might have to drive a couple hundred miles to open your
options but it's probably the best way to go.

I bought my Focus in 2009 (its a 2001) with 101k miles. It's only been in the shop twice for something to be repaired. First was a wheel bearing ($130) and after that was a fuel pump that I only replaced because it was under warranty to be replaced for free. Paid $25 for a fuel filter.
Foci are dope. Dependable. Fun. And safe as piss. Don't ever count 'em out.
