Tonight we lead the meek into war
the glass-jawed sons of justice always
spoken of in good repour

Does anybody make real -ish anymore?
I asked but it doesn't really matter
long as the anorexics disappear
and the rich get fatter
Guevara's head is on the silver platter
Batista was speedily replaced
Dig Escobar from his grave and
ask to see his about-face
This isn't a culture war
this isn't about faith
its about personal tastes
and getting away with obnoxious trends
so busy being role models
that we forget to be men
regular--extraordinary, fault-finding entities
that have identity-crises
sailing the high seas of doubt
looking for that glimmer of epiphany
every healthy mind needs.
Too low to stand and fight
but too high to ask why me
Wheres the dissociative disorder when you need it
wheres a silver tongued thesis
when you feel impeded
as if you're locked in a cycle of life
like some theoretical phoenix
we get antsy just thinking about the millenium fate

The opening two lines were definitely great. After there, u just had some real good and creative ideas that you didnt word as creatively, in my opinion. In some places, like this one;

Too low to stand and fight
but too high to ask why me
Wheres the dissociative disorder when you need it

u def had brilliant phrasing.
This is a good poem from you. You are definitely elevating.
