Rapping as a hobby

I kind of realized that I love to spit, and I love to write, but definitely not all the damn time. Anytime someone says I should try really hard to blow up or whatever, I spend the next week trying to write and record all the time, but it's just not me. I find that like once every 3 months or so I'll get motivated for a while, drop a track, and be done for that point in time. The shit that kills me about it is I know if I kept attacking it and stayed persistent I would be dope as fuck, but somehow just being a good emcee who drops a track every now and then is enough for me.

I need someone to relate with, or something. =/

I'm the same way... I ain't pursuin' a career... I just love doin' what I do... so when I feel like recordin' some shit, I do... if not, I don't force it... it's like any art form, when inspiration hits I act on it... if not, it's whatever...

this is what you do ..... Just take one of those cheap ass digital recorders and record your freestyles.. go back and listen, take the best lines you have, make a song. It takes all the "writting shit down" out of it.
