I don't want to make another thread.. so im just going to add a new poem here. Of course, i'll be getting links.
A song in flames.
I despise when people ask me her name.
her tune is the same as mine,
and my fingers move to the same beat.
But we're still strangers;
our hearts just have the same rhythm
and we sway to the same song.
We're twins in poetry.
Together we laugh, together we cry.
And together we play the same song.
We're together in a shadow box.
I'm her voice
and she's my fingers;
and together we're make believe beauty,
a sky of make believe stars.
But until the skies fall again
we'll play these maddening songs
and shove ourselves to the brink of crucifixion
me with a bullet
And her with a matchstick box.
They ask me her name;
everything has a name.
but we're still strangers,
and she's never told me hers,
and I haven't bothered to ask.
We just play together
and go up in flames.
