The Leaving
Last Piece By: Ghost Element
Leaving no note or a suitable sign
of exiting the house. Creeping through
the rooms like the sneaking of a modern
day mouse. Seizing to say goodbye to my
spouse, opening the door slowly to be sure
that this is what I want. Thinking to myself
like a note to self whether or not I am truly
done. Realizing that there is always a time
where you just have to run. Turning the handle
counterclockwise, tightly closing my heavy eyes.
Taking a quick look back at the family that raised
me, then wiping away the tears before they stick
and dry. This is the start of a new life, and I must
be strong and stay loyal to my own decision. For
if I stopped to listen, I'd know that I am not one
to be the person that would be worth missing. As
I take my first step out of the house, the atmosphere
falls down on me heavier then ever expected. But
this is the new life I’ve selected, so this is the decision
that must be respected. Packing my clothes and belongings
in two bags, one on my back and another in my free hand.
Now I stand here alone, standing as a fourteen year old
and a free man. I know for a fact that no body will remember
my name, I never made an accomplishment. Causing nothing
but trouble so I grant myself a punishment. By leaving the one
place where I could speak free and moving on too a world where
I have to earn the right too even eat. Maybe I am wrong about
this choice ..but this is my leaving.
Goodbye Rap battles.
