Need Help Recording

hey when I record on the bar my vocs are below that center line.
Well below... I do the noise reduction and amp it some but it's still
below and I know that distorts the sound somewhat. How can I make
sure it's sitting correctly?

that's the audio track and my vocs are way below that middle line.
Anybody know a solution?

if you want to spend money... I can help you... other than that you need to turn your mic up... go into control panel... audio properties... and turn you mic up more... that's all... but as far as clarity and what not... you're going to have to spend money... OR... come through.

Word, man. You get what you pay for. Other then what Brandon said, there's nothing much you can do really. Spend some money.

You can get a Samson CO1A USB Condenser Microphone for around $80, and it plugs right into your USB. No pre-amp or anything. It powers itself. With a little bit of mixing knowledge you should be able to get a sound thats miles away from the one your getting now.

But, if you can be a little bit patient, then save up $300-$350 and get:

i'm assuming your using adobe audition. well you could try

effects>amplitude>hardlimitting

set the limit max amplitude to -.1

Lol, you get what you pay for, man. I guess you could learn how to mix.. but your mixing skills have to be next to Godly to get a decent sound out of a PC microphone and a stock soundcard.
