    In U.s At Age 18 You Can Join The Army

    At 17 In Ny They Can Recruit You

    Were Not Leagally Allowed To Smoke Until Your 19 And You Cant Drink Till 21
    Yet At 18 You Can Give Me A Gun And Send Me Across The World

    Seems Fair

    I don't know where you get your information but in reality any enlisted man or woman of legal age can drink. The age is 18. On federal or military land you can drink at 18. It's the states who hold people to other ages such as in california where the age is 21.

    Trust that millions of those enlisted have been hell of drunk prior to turning 21 both on US soil and abroad. I have never witnessed a G.I. refused alcahol on any base due to his age. I have drank in my Officers Lounge and clubs, and witnessed scores of youngsters getting wasted.
