I dont know...I just always had my mind on the motif or the triton...

ther are some good software VST's that have nice sounds...and some of them have Motif sounds already on em...

    just check around...

word...cost less and sometimes plays better...

but I still might get the motif...simply because I dont wanna use all the space on my comp...

and I just want the sounds anyway...so I'd just get the rack...and use a midi controlle o trigger my sounds...

    you've lost your mind...

UNLESS you pay the same amount for the vsts or you get some of the super crazy dope ones which you won't...

what you should do... get a motif rack... all the sounds minus the keys... then get a midi controller...

if the controller has MIDI out yes you can

the only diference in controllers is the faders nobes and the ports they have and the octoves

you can get sounds anywahere the net or or buy samplers

you can use an old syntheziser to trigger your sounds as long as it is midi compatible.

I would suggest a weighted keyboard that way you can get the feel of playing on an actual piano...

good weighted keyboard-M-Audio Keystation Pro 88...

    nice knobs..faders...weighted keys...all that shit...

thats if you can afford it...if not...get a mid sized one and upgrade
