Funny, I guess I’m screwed because I am a huge fan of his philosophical lyrics… but I agree that this was a dope album.
Lol no your cool because you enjoy both his styles, and are open. I know people on the other hand who hate this cd cos it's not as 'deep' as his other albums. I personally find Eyedea far better as an emcee when he's like this cd. He is an exceptional battler; but on the abstract side, he sounds alot like a weaker version of Slug, with less personality and emotion. I don't mind abstract work, as long as it has some kind of point and isn't overdone just so the artist sounds smart.

Check Brother Ali - amazingly deep, but also an incredible battler/shit talker. Best of both worlds.

I very much agree with what flowetic said....read wiped in blue is an insane track...the beat is nice, the lyrics are phenominal (vast vocabulary) and the song is just very deep. Eyedea is underrated as a lyricist, only well known as a battler.

All hail Eyedea because he can use big words! Sounding smart is far more important than being able to battle effectively!

Eyedea has proven he can battle effectively though. If you want to have your mind boggled with a “vast vocabulary” look into Aesop Rock. Aesop = dope.

Battling is so interesting because if you can shove it in someone’s face, and do it without a wordy prose. Then props.

This is an instrumental where Abilities and DJ Infamous flex their scratch skills. Both do some dope scratching, but the beat isn't anything great. This, with the lack of vocals, makes this a not-so-great track. If your under 13, play this to your parents to show them that hip-hop is good, not just about hoes and bitches and sex. Trust me.

    Classic.

Just cuz it's a thorough review doesn't mean it's good. I think it sucked personally. Someone said it ^ there, the album is fuckin wack.
