Doctors couldn't tell her how to spin it
left the clinic when it was finished
and she was left alone with a sonogram image
couldn't call it on the phone only pray for the spirit
that maybe was at home and that God would hear it
second guesses but no second chances
no first caresses or middle school dances
no glad you're here baby welcome to the planet
only cold asphyxiation at the hands of a planner
sands of time slipping through her mind
futures little consolation for no life

hollow words to be observed from the curb
dumpster behind the clinic for lives never occured
souls defered from the hands of a nurse
ruined life or no life now which one is worse
no birth and not even a hearse
but she's back in the club come the next months first
