Anyone Have the RODE NT1000

I Currently Havce A Samson C03 Condensor
but im upgrading i was recoomended the rode NT1000
wonder wut u guys think........

is it good or should i go for another mic around the price range im talkin 500$ candian MAX ill pay 4 a mic right now

while the price of a microphone does determine some what the sound or quality you will get from it... that is not the only determining factor... test the mic... different voices... ie: tone, pitch, enunciation etc will either be brought out or not brought out by a specific mic... Before you ask a question about... price and "set up" record something so people can actually hear how you sound on the mic... it might be the perfect mic for you... but I'd say you're fine.

I would upgrade my other items before the mic. If you sound terrible I can tell you right now it's not your mic. It could be various other things from your soundcard to how you setup/use your equipment. Unless you're just upgrading for the sake of upgrading...

And who the hell said U87? That's not even close to in his price range.

First - Do you have a good soundcard? Then after that, do you have a good pre amp?

If you don't, I suggest getting both of those before spending more money upgrading to a better mic. Because if you don't have those, it won't matter.
