my first poem 1998

sometimes you may forget the things which make you happy
sometimes you may forget everything that puts a smile on your face
sometimes you wonder why this happens
what makes the mind focus on the bad and forget the good?


Love is something worthwhile, no matter the fight to get there
love is a look and a smile. its a caress of the scalp throught the hair
love is forever, atleast its supposed to be
so why does love seem to run from me?
I see you in my dreams, beautiful, smiling, hair flowing in the breeze
I dont know what it means , but this feeling makes me weak in the knees
she has my heart heavy upon her hands
given as husbands give wedding bands
she still has it, although she doesnt want it anymore
it follows her where she goes, and will be there in the mourn
she may not hold it as if it was gold
but it beats the same for her untill they both grow old
I hope one day she sees it again, just like we allways imagined
our perfect life was there for us, we just havent made it happen
I would give the world to see her smile just one more time
I loved the way she looked at me, her eyes could make me die
the butterflies she gave me, made me wanna fly
if you read this letter then I hope you find it true
all the things I said to you, you know I wanna do
we were meant to be together this you know is true
