I learned my way from restricted to level 5 at the age of 13
Got the speech in 98 when I picked back up my pen to paint a scene
You can’t learn all the rules yourself
So we get angels to guide you - whether right and its wealth
My first silent scream seem to be on repeat
Only I don’t see in greys and blacks – but I’ll keep that discrete
You run and you done, that’s when my head burned off
May of got hit with the slugs too, not too many know I’m not that soft
I hardly knew a real friend, everything comes with conditions
Always the sheep dressed like a wolf blending in with traditions
It’s all lessons
I swore I wasn’t and almost pulled it
That’s why I freak out now cause I don’t wanna fool it
I used to count the years I’d still be in jail
Grateful for not where that road led me instead
And by his grace I hail… I just can’t believe now or how that he’s dead
I never thought the ones who cry to the moon would turn their back on me
But when you live by a code a hood seems to be all most see
Now that they know…

I’d never recruit, I’m used to most things alone
You lead a dog astray and just pray he come home
And yeah, the Lord can move just so dead slow
Patience prolly the hardest lesson I will ever know
So now I speak on it… cause that’s really what’s right
You can’t keep it all to yourself cause in fact it’s a hard fight
Most deserve it but rarely earn it
I have a picture of my birth father which confuses me more
But now I understand why I fight in this war
Nothing makes me more mad than tongue to the side of my mouth
Well, hey just stay sober and you don’t got a zone for the ones who use that clout
It just all runs congruent and about
Suicide… the number one cover of homicide and nah I’d never do it
“No matter how bad the weather” – we just got to get thru it
X you’re gone… I was grateful to be one of the first ones to hear that night
Don’t think I’ll ever forget you or how your music taught me how to fight
15 kids that’s crazy… but even more in the hood
You will always be a legend just like any angel would
I don’t know how to show enough respect due
