Jack.. You can't say "I hate the Jews". "Oh, and btw, I hate everyone else as well". This is the kind of standard two tongued snake speech that organisations such as WAR (White Aryan Resistance) have been spewing at least since the 90's. Trump and his minions do the same thing today. Musk didn't heil Hitler.. Of course not. It was a Roman salute, no biggie. But no, that's not how it works.
And why are you talking about Palestinians? Antisemitism means hatred of Jews, and has done so since at least the 19th century. Nietzsche e.g. talks of his sister's antisemitism in the 1870's. Once again, this type of talk is a common smoke screen from Nazi sympathizers, and I don't think you're aware of that. It's like saying that hanging a swastika on your wall is fine, cuz it's just an ancient sun symbol. You have to understand that words and symbols change their meanings over time. We're all aware that "Semitic" literally refer to Jewish, Arabic and Aramaic peoples, but that's just not what the word means today. Look it up in a dictionary.
And the point about the Germans were simply that most of the Germans during 1933-1945 were just normal people like you that didn't necessarily care about politics, but that just went along with or agreed with a few things they sometimes heard on the radio, e.g. Jewish stereotypes. The real evil is actually NOT being aware, or worse, just carrying out orders, like Adolf Eichmann. I think this is why the red flags start to go up for people like me and Virb when we hear stuff like this, because even though it's seemingly banale and insignificant, the lesson from history is that those small things are actually quite dangerous over time.
What decade am I living in? The 20's, once again, unfortunately. And to all sane and rational people today, Nazism is used to refer to something like the embodiment of evil. Mention the Nazis in any debate and everyone knows what it means. Bolshevism is actually the term the Nazis used to refer to the evil communists, lol. Communism was at least originally based on the altruistic ideas of Karl Marx. And The Cold War wasn't a simple war between good and evil in any sense, since the U.S. was the forerunner of mass murders and global atrocities. Nazism, on the other hand, was based on the most psychotic ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche, the nationalism and antisemitism of Dietrich Eckart and the megalomaniacal will to power of Hitler and his inner circle. And sure, everyone has been at war since the dawn of time, but Nazism happened at the first time in history where mass extermination on an industrial scale was made possible. Not to mention that it happened during an otherwise enlightened, scientific and democratic age. The abolition of slavery in the U.S. happened in the 1860's, and slavery would undoubtedly have been more evil if it was a global campaign to exterminate the African race as such (which Nazism also was, btw). So yes, the fight against Nazism is by far the most clear cut fight between good and evil we have in recent history. And honestly, it's quite baffling how anybody can even feel like defending any of it.
Regarding Zionism, it was originally a movement to try to escape persecution in Europe, including the pogroms in Russia, which is in itself a perfectly noble cause. And creating Isreal after the holocaust made quite a lot of sense. So if anything, the evils of Isreali leaders today just prove that human beings are just fundamentally flawed, or maybe more importantly, that religion is an infinite source of stupidity. But as we also see from what's going on, it has nothing to do with any specific race or religion. And the term "Zionism" has been used in antisemitic propaganda since The Elders of Zion (the fake document depicting the Jewish plans to take over the world), so I'm not even sure we are using the word in the same way.
On your point of politics, it's obvious that U.S. politics have been oligarchic and crypto-fascistic for a while, but I hope you realize that antisemitism wouldn't even figure this much in the public space if it wasn't for Trump and the alt right pushing this agenda, e.g. by inviting Kanye to The White House. The irony is that by not caring about politics, you end up being a stooge for whatever the politicians are doing. Trump and Bannon etc. have deliberately tapped into the whole Alex Jones crowd of conspiracy theorists, first of all to tap into an otherwise untapped voter pool, second of all to exploit the anger against the system that exists for good reason, and thirdly as part of their way to go beyond fact and fiction and to be able to shape a classic fascistic narrative of the powerless against the evil cabale of billionarie Jews and George Soros and Bill Gates and whatever (while ironically giving all these people more power than ever before).
But in a way, it's actually quite astonishing, and speaks to the reality show of American politics that I mentioned earlier, that Americans can be so unaware of politics that they don't even notice the obvious qualitative difference between Donald Trump and ANYONE ELSE. They're just like "Oh, he's a Republican, a little bit stupid sometimes, but whatever, I hate the Democrats too". How can you be so unaware of the core principles of democracy, the balance of powers, the constitution, international diplomacy, etc., that you think that Trump is just another random politician? Obviously, the U.S. has the educational level of a third world country, but if you have just a minumim of interest in what's going on in the world, I'm pretty sure you would oppose that guy either way, instead of cheering for his cheerleaders. Even if you didn't vote in general, you'd have to vote that day, or participate in the protests or do something, just because these authoritarian tendencies and the potential consequences for democracy are so obvious.
On the record label industry: First of all, in this day and age, those companies seem to be less and less important after the rise of streaming and social media. But either way, it's not about Jews or Zionism or anything related to that. It's about power and capital, apropos of Marx. It's about money vs. no money. If some record executives happen to be Jews, it is what it is. The world is a complex place. No easy explanations, and especially ones taken out of Nazi propaganda, can be used to explain everything. And rappers aren't Gods. They aren't even journalists or historians or college professors (except KRS, who has an honorary title, I believe, lol). Many rappers come from disenfranchised communites, where scepticism about politics is more widespread and conspiracy theories are more readily accepted. It makes total sense from a sociological standpoint. But at the same time, it also makes them more susceptible when a fascist leader comes along and exploits those sentiments for personal gain.*
Anyway, I don't believe you're evil, Jack. I just believe you were duped. I don't think we need to discuss this in further detail. It's just hard to completely ignore these things given what's going on in the world atm. We're all living in pretty crazy times with the threat of war and the breakdown of the current global order, which is mostly thanks to the U.S. voting populace. But I guess many of you probably remain ignorant to this state of affairs, because it's all about Hollywood anyway, right?
*(On that note, I actually remember, many many years ago, that I had a homie that thought this random guy Donald Trump was dope because he had heard him in a podcast with Eminem and whatever. DT have infiltrated the hip hop communiy for years. But I had to inform him that that guy had actually mentioned running for president for the Republicans, so there wasn't anything dope about him. And lo and behold, he actually did, many years later).
